The Sixteen Summer Party

Adam on Sax

Adam Singer and his wife hosted a brilliant party for The Sixteen last weekend, our inaugural Summer Party.  Unlike many other people having a summer party that day, the torrential rain was not an issue as we were able to move into the magnificent medieval barn that Adam has been renovating.  Originally built in 1374, it was a wholly appropriate setting for a choir  which often performs music from that period (see The Gothic Revolution,  episode one of Sacred Music), to entertain members of our various Boards (Adam chairs our Development Board), several of our major donors, and those of our singers not undertaking their Sunday church service duties.  As you can see from the photo, our host did more than provide an abundance of food and drink.  The juxtaposition of jazz and medieval architecture was inspired!
